Our origin story

When our Founder & Chief Styling Officer, Morgan Bienvenue, first started sharing the fitting room with her personal styling clients, she realized a huge gap in the kinds of questions they’d ask her and how women can shop online today.

Trying on clothes is an emotional experience that is often triggered by a major life event, representing the change we want to create in our lives. Morgan wanted to transform HOW we shop online by giving women the tools they need, without changing WHERE they shop.

Auteur was born as a way of answering the most common styling questions Morgan received to help as many women as possible.

Morgan is currently represented as a wardrobe stylist by Honey Artists, living in New York. Her work and opinions have been published in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, The Zoe Report, Brides, Bustle, Byrdie, The Daily Mail, and People.
