Who we are
Auteur is a B2B software company working with etailers of all sizes to help shift the online shopping paradigm. We’re tackling the over-saturated and unorganized world of online shopping data and letting customers tell us how they want their clothes to make them look. This new way of shopping allows for game-changing consumer insights, market validation, and planning tools.
Thanks to our stylist-trained MLM, our proprietary shopping filters reduce friction and return rates by meeting customers where they are and putting the power in their hands for the first time. With Auteur, customers can filter products based on what matters to them most:
Minimizing or maximizing certain parts of their bodies
Choosing which types of undergarments they’re comfortable wearing
Wearing colors that suit their hair color, eye color, and skin tone best
Auteur is not virtual try-on technology, a search engine, an outfit builder, a chatbot, or a subscription service. It’s a better way to shop the brands customers already love, on the sites that already have their attention.
We’re building a better way to shop, one site at a time.

Innovation
Our proprietary MLM is trained on real stylists’ expertise and which products are best for each customer. After stylists apply unique metadata to a client’s product inventory, the model applies those tags at-scale to new SKUs seasonally.
Sustainability
We’re reducing clothing waste and reducing the environmental impact of returns. By using our shopping filters on their favorite retailers’ websites, our clients’ customers are buying clothing based on what’s important to them, not the latest trend cycles.
Integrity
Our filters democratize access to personal stylists and guide customers on how to build a wardrobe they love. It’s important we play a role in reducing the harmful impact influencer culture and social commerce has had on the mental health of young women.
